12 October 2013
Eight members of the Technocentre des technologies de l’information et des communications (TIC) de la Gaspésie–Îles-de-la-Madeleine took part in a trade mission to France from October 5 to 12, 2013. Organised by GIMXPORT in partnership with the Technocentre des TIC, the mission was a tremendous success and has already generated benefits.
Open to all members of the Technocentre des TIC, the mission drew the interest of six entrepreneurs and representatives of two towns that chose to participate. Mission members were Joël Arseneau of L’Île Imagin’air (Havre-aux-Maisons), Dany Bouffard and Nancy Thorne of Gemini 3 D and Bedecomics (Cap-aux-Meules), Stéphane Hamilton of Jolifish (Chandler), Marilou Levasseur of Marilou Levasseur designer graphique (Bonaventure), Marie-Ève Forest of Communication Antilope (Carleton-sur-Mer), Benoît Moreau of Ville de Chandler and Alain Grenier of Ville de New Richmond. The delegation was accompanied by Priscilla Doiron, of GIMXPORT, who served as project manager; Gino Cyr, GIMXPORT general manager; and Carol Cotton, Technocentre des TIC general manager.
Members of the Gaspésie–Îles-de-la-Madeleine delegation were welcomed in Obernai (Alsace, France) by a delegation of French enterprises. The latter, under the umbrella of Atiloo, a Strasbourg-based communication studies agency, shared the Technocentre des TIC Gaspésie–Îles-de-la-Madeleine stand at the 7e Salon des nouvelles technologies et entrepreneurs in Strasbourg on October 9 and 10, 2013.
