Whether it is for market diversification, to renew orders with existing customers and suppliers, to compare products and prices, to discover the newest technologies and industry trends, participation at this trade show is a business opportunity that should not be overlooked.
Our mission at the European Seafood Exhibition was twofold: firstly, GÎMXPORT accompanied a delegation of visiting businesses and organizations such as: Gaspé Cured, La Crevette du Nord Atlantique Inc., l’Office des pêcheurs de crevettes de la ville de Gaspé, l’AMIK and l’UMEK. Secondly, GÎMXPORT represented the lobster commercialization project, where a booth was set up to promote lobster and other seafood products: snow crab, shrimp, halibut, dry-salted cod, etc.
The organization and companies that attended were:
– Regroupement of Professional Fishermen of the Southern Gaspesie;
– Lelièvre Lelièvre et Lemoignan Ltée;
– Poisson salé Gaspésien Ltée;
– Crustacés de Malbaie Inc.;
– Poissonnerie Caron Inc.;
– Dégust-Mer Inc.;
– Les Producteurs Pêcheurs du Sud de la Gaspésie;
– Unipêche M.D.M.
A new phase was added to the Gaspe lobster commercialization project with the launch of a website dedicated to the industry: www.gaspelobster.com. As part of this process, and in order to meet the needs of our clients, the site will be translated into five languages: French, English, Italian, Spanish and Mandarin. In addition, videos will be created to showcase the Gaspe fishermen and processors.
This mission and its entire process were possible thanks to the financial support and collaboration of Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED), the Quebec Ministry of Economic Development, Innovation and Export Trade (MDEIE), the Quebec Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ) and Agri-Food Export Group.
