Chandler, March 20th 2014 – GIMXPORT was present at the Boston Seafood Expo, a worldwide exhibition for the seafood sector. Within the Quebec Pavilion, three members of GIMXPORT, all processors of marine products were among the exhibitors : Unipêche MDM Inc. Dégust -Mer and Gaspé Cured. They could rely on the excellent chef, Christian Lévesque, to prepare the products discovered through succulent bites.
The mandate of GIMXPORT during the exhibition was to support the Gaspé Cured consortium at their booth. According to Priscilla Doiron, Marketing coordinator at GIMXPORT : “Korean buyers currently crave Quebec seafood products, and in 2015 a facilitated free trade process with Canada should benefit all parties involved”. Moreover, Roch Lelièvre, shareholder at Gaspé Cured consortium, says that there was some interest from Asian, American and European buyers , which might suggest that 2014 will be a better year than 2013.
The Boston Seafood Expo, which attracts around 20,000 visitors a year took place from the 16th to the 18th of March 2014 . Processors and exporters of marine products from a hundred countries were invited to attend.
